Reactive dyes are the most popular class of dyes for dyeing & printing of cellulosic substrates. These dyes can also be applied on Wool, Silk, and Nylon. Reactive dyes are anionic in nature & draw its name as they chemically react with the hydroxyl (OH) groups of the substrate to form covalent bond under favorable conditions. Owing to high stability of the covalent bond, these dyes have reasonably satisfactory all-round fastness properties.
